Huntington Dog Beach
My dog loves the beach. He will run in the water, walk along the shore, play with dogs, dig holes in the sand, etc. The fun is endless here. It is also very kid friendly. Personally, I don’t love to have my daughter on the floor with other dogs just because you never know. So, if I bring my daughter with me, we will walk down like 15 streets or so to be further away from other dogs. My dog is pretty good off leash and is constantly looking for me so I don’t really worry about him running off. I like to go early in the morning so we are able to walk the beach with less of a crowd and walk to the pier. There is a nice pet store called Top Dog Bakery that makes fresh dog treats, birthday cakes for dogs, has bones, and a boutique for dogs.
*There are less people the further you are from the parking lot.
The dog beach starts at 24th street I believe but there is a separate dog beach parking. I never park in the parking lot because it costs money and we go to the beach to walk. I will try to look for parking at/around 20th-22nd street and Orange ave. The parking is FREE here and still very close by. I highly recommend coming here and your dog will thank you(I hope).
*There is so much to in Huntington Beach and most things are pet friendly, which I love.
