The first time I went to Paris I was in complete awe. Paris truly has a special place in my heart and there is just something magical about seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night. Every time I have returned to Paris there is always a new neighborhood, chic cafe, museum, or Parisian hangout to discover. The places I have included are places that I have personally tried or been to and fell in love. The places I have included for this itinerary are more of the touristy and big landmarks that are a must see for your first time in Paris.
2 Days in Paris
Day 1:
Morning:
Grab a croissant and cappuccino from Cafe Le Carrousel
Cross the street over to the Louvre around 9 to beat the crowd
After spending a few hours at the Louvre, head to Le Cafe Marly which is located right in front of the Louvre
Afternoon:
Either walk along the Seine or hop on the metro to head over to the Eiffel Tower. Tickets are must and can sell our fairly quickly.
Stop by Carette for their famous hot chocolate, it is so worth it.
Arc de Triomphe is one of the most famous monuments in Paris and quite the sight to see. After climbing to the top or stopping to take pictures, you will find yourself standing on Champs-Elyseees.
Evening:
Champs-Elyseees is an internationally renowned shopping destination. This is the perfect time to do some luxury shopping!
End your evening with a dinner at CoCo. This is a super chic restaurant that turns into a lounge as the night goes on. This is the perfect spot to enjoy dinner and drinks later as the evening progresses.
Day 2:
Morning:
Montmartre Day! Head over to Montmartre early and before the crowd. The Basilica is beautiful and worth the hike up the hill. Montmartre also has one of the best views of the city.
Here you’ll find local vendors, street artists, and plenty of gift shops. Grab a beer to go and enjoy the local talent.
Afternoon:
Stop for a bite to eat at Le Maison Rose which is also known as the pink cafe. *Reservations may be needed.
Galeries Lafayette is near by and has a great rooftop view of the city that is free. This mall is full of designer stores, a few cafes upstairs, and other locally made products for sale. This mall is huge and the architecture is breathtaking.
Evening:
Dinner: L’Avenue is a very hip and trendy restaurant. This is a great location to head back to the Seine for an evening cruise.
An evening cruise on the Seine is the perfect way to end your trip and night in Paris. This truly is the best way to see Paris, especially at night. You'll see some of Paris' most iconic landmarks, like the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. There’s something magical about watching the sun go down and the lights come on as you’re cruising down the river. If you are lucky, you may even get to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle.
